Terms of Use

By installing or using the UIdebug Chrome extension or visiting uidebug.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use UIdebug.

UIdebug is a browser extension for inspecting and visually editing web page styles. It is a developer tool intended for front-end developers and designers. It is not intended for use in circumventing website protections, scraping content, or any purpose other than visual development and style editing.

Google sign-in required

A Google account is required to use UIdebug. By signing in, you authorize us to receive your Google account ID, email address, display name, and profile picture as described in our Privacy Policy.

Account responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. UIdebug is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for abusive or fraudulent purposes.

Free plan

The Free plan provides access to the element inspector, Properties tab, CSS tab, and Responsive breakpoint editing. Free plan features may change over time.

Pro plan

The Pro plan adds AI Chat and File Sync. Pro requires a paid subscription processed through Stripe. Subscription pricing is listed on uidebug.com/#pricing.

Billing and cancellation

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly ($12/month) or annually ($99/year). You may cancel at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Plan changes

We reserve the right to modify plan features or pricing with reasonable notice. Material changes to paid plans will be communicated by email before they take effect.

You agree not to use UIdebug to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) infringe the intellectual property rights of others; (c) circumvent or disable security features of websites; (d) scrape, harvest, or collect data from websites in bulk; (e) reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the extension except to the extent permitted by applicable law; or (f) use the File Sync feature to modify files you do not have the right to modify.

File Sync

File Sync writes changes directly to files on your local machine using the browser's File System Access API. You are solely responsible for the files you modify. UIdebug shows a diff preview before every write. Always review the diff before confirming. UIdebug is not liable for unintended file modifications.

AI Chat

The AI Chat feature (Pro) routes requests through your locally-running UIdebug dev server using your own Anthropic API key. AI Chat only functions on localhost where the dev server is active. UIdebug does not process or store AI Chat requests. You are responsible for your use of the Anthropic API and compliance with Anthropic's usage policies.

UIdebug and its underlying code, design, and content are owned by UIdebug and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of any UIdebug intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the extension or its source code without written permission.

UIdebug is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every website or browser version. Use of the File Sync feature is at your own risk — always maintain backups of your source files.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UIdebug and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension, including but not limited to loss of data, source file corruption, or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UIdebug and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the extension, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Chrome Web Store listing or email. Continued use of UIdebug after updated terms are posted constitutes acceptance. These terms were last updated June 2026.
